About

What we do

We look at the current state of the world at different scales: the individual, groups, and society as a whole. We provide an open platform for people to discuss the problems and potential solutions. We search for what actions need to be taken to achieve widely agreed-upon goals, ranging from maximizing happiness, minimizing poverty, reducing inequality, etc. When presenting solutions, we will show both the pros and cons, explicitly detailing the trade-offs in layman terms.

Why we do it

Simple changes can drastically benefit society. Currently, our politicians try to patch things up with band-aid solutions instead of adopting holistic, long-term strategies.

Why is a winner takes all voting system still in place when we know it causes inefficient and pointless political polarization?

Why don't we yet have solutions for the western water crisis?

Why are there so many homeless people with so many vacant homes?

How we do it

First, we offer articles and interactive apps to inform the public. We also gather data to gain an understanding of the problem and opinions. Using this data, we do statistical and computational modelling - combining techniques from Bayesian Statistics, Multi-agent Reinforcement Learning, and Adaptive Mechanism Design - to find the best strategies

We streamline the connection between you and community leaders and people in power to get things done.

We also hold those accountable who are not working in our best interests.

Who we are

We are a group of unpaid volunteers who want to make the world a better place. We welcome anyone who wants to help!
